Lolita shops to avoid

 Hello! this weeks blog is on places NOT to buy lolita from or to avoid!


There's plenty of other guides out there with this info, and even more where to shop guides! but a more up to date one was requested!

This list isn't the be all and end all of bad lolita shops and ones to avoid, as theres always more that pop up somehow! if you have any i should add please pm me on instagram @likeateacup.

"Not a scam but AVOID" for lolita:

https://www.aliexpress.com/ - there is at least one legit taobao reseller (loligals, but they stock replicas) on aliexpress, and at least one legit shoe shop, however generally worth avoiding for anything that's not an accessory

https://www.amazon.com - you can sometimes find some things on amazon but honestly most of the listings are replicas

https://www.devilinspired.com/ - while not a scam now, has a host of customer service issues and their mark-up is VERY high even for a reseller please read this other blog of mine

https://www.ebay.co.uk/ - considering I buy from eBay a lot this may seem weird, but eBay is LITTERED with replicas and bad deals, so unless you're experienced in lolita shopping, give it a miss

https://www.etsy.com/ - a general beware for Etsy, not everything is bad but if you're not sure its best to avoid! there has been a recent spate of people stealing stock photos from taobao brands too, there are 100% legitimate brands on etsy such as Dollbe, and chrysanthemums concerto, but id advise asking for reviews before buying
